By Custom SLR: It all started with three photographers and one annoying problem: tangling camera straps.
Working out of a garage, Ivan Wong, a professional sports
photographer, teamed up with his brother Ben to design and build a
prototype of the C-Loop, a device that prevents straps from tangling or
getting in the way. Enlisting the help of their friend Anne, they
improved the prototype, successfully raised funding on Kickstarter, and
sold over 2,000 C-Loops a week after launching.
From there, Custom SLR was born, and we’re happy to say we haven’t stopped innovating. Since the C-Loop, we’ve brought you even more creative camera accessories: Split Strap, M-Plate and ProDot. And we have even more inventions in the works.
Headquartered
in the San Francisco Bay Area, we stand behind keeping jobs here in
America and manufacture most of our products in the USA. We believe in
giving back to our community and using eco-friendly business practices.
